The man, Beam Morgan, is a sentenced criminal. On Wednesday (Oct 5.), he proposed to pay compensation to the casualty when he showed up under the watchful eye of Senior Area Judge Lori-Anne Cole Montaque at the Kingston and St Andrew Ward Court.

He was addressed by lawyer Orville Morgan who said that his client will begin making installments through the court starting next Thursday.

Morgan was captured and accused of swindling Marcia Griffiths of $4.8 million in June 2021.  As per reports, he had recently burned through 12 years in prison on four counts of extortion and had recently emerged from prison when he addressed to Griffiths that he could assist her with procuring a property in Jamaica.

The vocalist was associated with Morgan by one more party in the wake of communicating her desired craving to construct a historical center that common her heritage with the world as one of the veterans of Reggae music and a trailblazer in the class.

As per her protest, Morgan proffered that he had abroad accomplices who could loan her US$500,000 to buy the property and asset the expenses of the development.

Consequently, the profession fraudster guaranteed that the vocalist needed to pay him US$30,000 for charges and J$250,000 for stamp obligation which she later wire-moved from her record to his. Morgan then vanished, leaving the artist hanging. Meanwhile, Morgan’s application for bail was denied by the court, and he was remanded to jail until his condemning hearing.
